MySQL Central @ Open World is coming up next week. I look forward to present “Evolving the MySQL Server Architecture”, Tue, Sep 30th 5pm-5.45pm at Moscone room 250.

Join me to discuss the big picture and directions for MySQL Server Architecture evolution.

In this talk I will discuss the driving forces and challenges motivating changes, and outline the vision for the MySQL Server Architecture. Topics to be discussed include the main architectural themes:

About Rune Humborstad

Rune Humborstad is a Senior MySQL Architect at Oracle, working on MySQL Server architecture since 2008. From 2004 to 2008 he held the position as Overall Architect in the database group at Sun Microsystems. From 1994 to 2004, he worked as senior developer/architect on Clustra/HADB, a clustered and highly available database system. Rune Humborstad holds a M.Sc. in computer science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
